Hi, I purchased my x4 35d (2018) last year and am mostly happy with it. I love the power, torque, looks, interior comforts and the general “binmerness” of it, but, I find the ride to be pretty bad
I have the standard run flats, pirelli p zero, and I find that in comfort it’s too bouncy (feels like a pogo stick) and in sport you feel every bump. And it’s still bouncy anyway
I’ve got an Audi sq5 hire car and whilst I don’t like it, I have realised that the steering feels much better in the Audi. More responsive, smoother, less fatiguing. Everything else is better in the x4 though.
So I’m looking at either trying to improve the ride in my x4 or trade up to the new m40i. I don’t really need any more power, but I have test driven the m40i and it’s much smoother.
Has anyone had any success in taming the bouncy x4? Any advice on whether changing out the tires would make a difference? Could I get the suspension looked at for a better ride?
Any advice would be very much appreciated. I’m in Sydney, Australia btw

the runflats will definitely contribute to the harsh ride that you are experiencing
... forty-three years of driving before I get behind the wheel of a BMW .... and I am thinking, "why did it take me so long?"
... and then after another 4 years I can't believe that I have two of them !!
