Hello everyone. I made this account to ask for some well needed help. I own a 1987 e30 325es and have been working on it for about 3 weeks now. I am coming across the issue of my signal lights SOMETIMES working and sometimes they don't. I'm afraid that it might be a wiring issue, but one time I pressed the fog lights and they magically worked. Now they dont LOL. Anyone ever had this issue before a found out the cause? ALSO one more thing. I replaced all bulbs such as my rear and front lights. For some reason, brake lights work and the turn signal lights work (when they weren't acting up) BUT my night lights don't. They just don't turn on when my headlights are on.
PLEASE SEND HELP TYTY
welcome here, I will move the thread to the E30 forum, where E30 owners can help you.

you have no ground issues and the hazard light switch is good? its on the dash, above the radio. everything goes through that, if I remember right
No e30s again.
sounds like possibly corroded wiring ends or the connector not being fully seated. start by just pulling the connectors and cleaning them with electric contact spray and putting them back on and see if the intermittency goes decreases.
My directional lights problem turned out to be a corroded hazard light switch, which itself worked, but did not let enough current through to power the directionals. I would work the switch vigorously while using contact cleaner. If that doesn't work I would try a new hazard switch.
