So i am looking around the internet...as per usual...and i was looking at pricing for the E34 steering couple...and this item came up on my search...and its the first one i have seen that is not for an e30...

What do you guys think? its certainly cheaper than e34 steering coupler and might be a good solution.
Im thinking about trying it out...any opinions welcome...thanks...
Used E34 coupler might be cheap if you find one, but the cheap aftermarket one seems to be NLA. I bought one last year. Might have been MTC but I am not sure. Now, all you can find are the BMW ones for $120,
That is correct...and i have not found them new for under 140 shipped...for 50 bucks plus shipping how bad could it be...i would only be concerned with binding...maybe?...i dont know...i have been going back and forth...i was hoping i could get some opinions on it...thanks for the replies...
Parts Shop Max has been producing good products for the Nissan S-Chassis for a while now. I imagine their parts have been tried and tested and wouldn't be released for public sale if it was shit.

I don’t know the effect of eliminating the lower joint and replacing it with a fixed spacer.
Just keep looking:

This isn't as cheap as it used to be (the MTC piece used to be around $30), but I'd still get this over a solid piece. Even after VAT and shipping and everything it's not much more than this solid piece and will provide any articulation you need - even if it's just for ease of installation (honestly, I'm not sure how you'd even install this solid one on a rack).
Pro tip (from my day job doing competitive intelligence): simply rephrasing your search terms can yield big returns. That's how I found this on schmiedmann, and found a driver-side high beam E32 lens for about half of the $140 they usually sell for.
Search for variations of the BMW part number (try with and without the dashes), and try to find the original supplier part number, too. I used the Hella part number for the headlight lens I just found instead of the BMW number and got some better options.
