Thinking about Dying my Blue top to Black. Any thoughts?

My 325i convertible has a blue top and I'm thinking about dying it black? I talked to a car upholstery company and they said they can't do it because the canvas soaks up too much dye. But I've read on other pages where some guys have had success with Lenovo? Has anyone done this and had success? Thanks

You should just replace it with a black one. I doubt a dye job would look good or last very long. I've seen complete tops on EBay for under $500 and it's far easier to replace the entire assembly than it is to just replace the fabric.

I've never done it but those that have indicated it's Plug-N-Play. You disconnect all hydraulic and electric connections, then the bolts that hold it in place, reverse procedure with the replacement.

I 100% agree. Of course I already have an OrientBlau 330Ci with a black top. (My hardtop is matching blue if that makes it better.)
