    E36 1995 325ic - Chicagoland

This is my OEM+ 1995 325i Convertible that has been maintained to high-standards by me since ownership. This car was originally a 318i that I swapped in a 325i M50B25TU (Vanos) and performed all maintenance and upgrades along the way to make an outstandingly smooth and enjoyable E36 to bring the Ultimate Driving Machine back to its former glory. With the factory heated seats and rear 3.45 differential with LSD, this car is a comfortable carver ready for its next owner. Here is the LONG list of all the items I changed to give you an understanding of the depth and level of care that went into this car:

    M50B25TU (1995 325i)
OEM red label 413 Bosch DME
    New MAF Sensor
    New Air Intake Boot
    New Starter
    New Oil pan gasket
    New Valve cover gasket
    New Continental belt
    New Thermostat + Metal Housing
    New Metal Water pump
    New Fan + Fan Clutch
    New Engine Mounts
    New Transmission mounts
    New Guibo/Flex disk
    New Febi (OEM) Coolant Tank
    New Silicone Radiator Hoses
    New Aluminum Radiator
New 6-Puck Sprung Clutch + Lightened Flywheel
    New Pilot + Throwout Bearing
    New OEM Master Cylinder
    New OEM Clutch Slave Cylinder
New Gargistic Metal P/S Delete block
New OEM Ralllyroad Stainless Steel Pivot Pin
    New OEM Shifter Bushings (all)
    New Gargistic DSSR
New OEM Shifter Selector Rod Joint
    New OEM Shifter Selector Seal
    New 3” Stainlness Exhaust (non-catted)
    New O2 sensor
New OEM N54 Exhaust studs + Copper Nuts
    New K&N Air Filter
    New Door handle gaskets
    New OEM antenna gasket
New OEM BMW E36 Convertible specific floor mats
OEM BBS Style 197 Wheels with good tires
    OEM wood shift knob
OEM *real* tan leather rear seats (too cold to dye currently)
OEM Audi (yes, Audi!) A4 Wind Deflector Screen
OEM 325i gauge cluster (to match RPM to 6-cylinder)
    New FK TUV-approved Coilovers
New OEM M3 Front “lollipop” bushings
    New OEM RTAB bushings

And of course fresh fluids including Redline ATF D4 in the transmission, Mobil1 in the rear differential, T6 5w-40 engine oil, etc.

To be transparent and honest there are a few less desirable attributes to the car as it is 25 years old. Being from the Midwest there is a little rust on the passenger rocker, trunk lid (hidden by plate), and seam of the windshield. I’ve not replaced the A/C and P/S when going to the 6-cylinder, but I have the additional components if desired. The radio works, but the screen doesn’t and the OEM CD-Changer has only worked once for me and never again since. The front comfort seats have a couple tears that black gaff tape has mended very well. The rear plastic was old/brittle so I replaced with new clear vinyl. Also, the transmission has a slight drop of fluid I believe is from the output shaft seal as I’ve replaced the shifter selector seal and the wetness is still present. The 2nd gear synchronizer is worn as well and a slight grind is made, but if you double-clutch it doesn’t grind or with the 3.45 rear-end and healthy inline-6 you can skip to 3rd no worries. In addition to the OEM BBS Style 197s I have the original bottle caps as well that will go with the car.

This has been a really cool car for me to own and it was my first BMW after many VWs (VW, Audi, Porsche), but I believe I’m best fit for another VAG product. This car will be loads of fun for the next owner and has tons of potential with a large peace of mind on many of the common failure points already being addressed with OEM parts. Thanks for your interest and I look forward to the next owner enjoying this Ultimate Driving Machine to its fullest extent!

    Price: $4,200
