I have a 2000 bmw 323i that I was thinking of boosting but I decided I want to make it all motor, the car is completely stock, I know of all the usual mods like exhaust, cold air intake, my question what's else can I do, any help will be greatly appreciated
well, maybe you tell us what budget you have max. for all those modifucations. Also do you want to DIY all or do you need a shop to do it?
Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
Install an LSx V8.
If you can’t do that, swap in an M54 3.0L motor from a 330i or build your 2.5L into a 3.0 using the internals of an M54 3.0L. Find some aftermarket headers without cats.
If you can’t do that, don’t bother putting money into your 2.5L. Save your money and put it towards a car that is faster to begin with, like an 07-08 335i for $5-10k or an 08-09 M3 for $15-20k. It would not be hard to come up with a much longer list of cars that will outperform a 2000 323i even if it has all the bolt on mods.
Don't waste your time and money trying to get more out of a 323. Either boost it, or start with something better. Thousands of dollars spent on that car will only net a handful of horsepower at best.
