Hey guys ive been googling for a answer but recently i have noticed a rattling sound coming from my transmission area when warmed up and now anytime i hit about 6000 rpms or so my car jerks and goes out of gear. a gear symbol pops up and also the check engine soon brake light and both turning signals light up. today while messing around with a rx-8 i had the same transmission jerk problem and my rpms were bouncing all over the gauge. I am planning on doing a transmission flush and change the filter or is it too late? i have had the car for 6 months with 147k miles and from my knowledge it has never had a trans flush. any advice helps thank you.
the mods are jb4, injen intake, active autoworks chargepipe with tial bov and a borla s-type exhaust if that affects anything.

Correct. Trying to fix a problem without reading the fault codes is like going to the doctor and telling him something is wrong and asking him to guess what it is.

Rattling could be anything including a loose cat heat shield.
At 6K rpm, you could be dealing with a fuel cutoff issue, and a weak trans. Does it pop out in all the gears, or only the top gear?
