I have SONAR sk3302 headlights and both low beam and high beams work. On one side the halo rings are out(see picture). Anyone know if I can change a bulb? Or do I need a whole new headlight? I looked around for any loose wires.. hard not a a lot of room.Halo Ring.jpg
The bulb is replaceable on factory headlights might need long needle nose pliers
I'm going to pull the wheel well liner to get a better look.. these are after market so not sure if replaceable? Does anyone know if I can pass inspection in Mass with just the halo rings out?
Assuming they take factory halo bulb assemblies:
The halo bulb assembly is 63117161444 and is stupid expensive. However, you can open up the assembly and replace just the bulb itself, which is a type BA9s - like $5 on eBay. You can also search for Philips 12024CP, but that's typically more expensive.
Ok found the problem to be one of those "QuickConnect" wire connectors. Kinda sucked because I ended up buying a ccfl converter thinking it was bad. I removed the old and installed and was about to give up.. So takeaway is if you have a light out - check if you have a QuickConnect..
