It's about that time to smog the wife's 2005 745i and the problem is the SAP will not go into ready state. The car has or ever had in that matter a CEL since ownership, I've checked in INPA and there are no pending codes, pump seems to be working fine during start up and when I activate it in INPA.
The only possible issue I see is a small fluctuation with B1 sensor 2 o2 readings and it fluctuates a hundredth of a volt (I know it should sit steady at .45v). Talking about o2 readings I should state when the SAP is running on a cold start the pre cat O2's show leaning like it should.
Any tips or suggestions would be welcomed.

so the secondary are pump is located at the lower passenger side front of the engine compartment a y hose connects to it runs under the intake manifold then splits to the secondary air valve at the back of the heads so if the valve is stuck open condensation from exhaust on cold start flows down to the pump and over time can kill it or your secondary air ports which are built in to the head are clogged with carbon, very common and need to be cleaned, exspensive
