    High mileage 335i-Immediate maintenance?

Hey everyone, I am picking up a 2007 335i on monday. Its coming from a used car dealer and unknown history (134,xxx on the clock). It needs some minor body work and i am getting a killer deal on it.
This is FAR from my first bimmer, but the only one of the newer then an e46 and there just seems to be a lot more going n with the n54 motors.

What should i focus maintenance wise on first? i plan on the following immediatly and even have the parts on order:
    • oil change
    • spark plugs
    • serpentine belt

I am debating on doing the following immediately as well:
    • water pump and thermostat
    • coolant flush
    • belt pully's/tensioner to avoid any main seal issues if the belt breaks

Am I missing anything that I should just do off the bat?

    Oil filter hsg. Gasket

    Probably valve cover
    Electric water pump

    Turbos maybe

    Dmtl pump not critical
Mine had the brake module connector issue so i live without cruise and brake trifecta.

Get a decent scan code tool. Youll use it plenty. 07 335i sedan 126000miles now.

I'll check for the injector recall. Wasn't aware there was one, so thanks for that. I definitely plan on doing the oil filter housing gasket, but since the car is an early build date it doens't have an oil cooler, so i definitely need to swap the housing and add the cooler.

The Carfax, which the used car dealer should have, might show the service history. Also, it should show accident history, and if the car was salvaged. It is not perfect, but in most cases it is fine.

Also, you need a pre-purchase inspection.

My wife has access to autocheck, which we pulled on the car. It had some maintenance things on there that I didn't bother looking at since iv never really trusted those. I'll have to look again as I think it mentioned something fueling related, perhaps it was the injectors. If for some reason the car never had the injector recall done, is this something you can still get taken care of at no cost?

Register the vin on bmwusa.com and should tell you if recall applies or others like the vent fan wiring.

Spark plugs for any open recalls or campaigns go to the dealer with the vin and have them pull the vehicle history. If anything is open or has an extended warranty it will be listed on that history

I'll check for recalls, maybe i'll get lucky and end up with some new parts...

I tihnk i'm going to go ahead and add walnut blasting as an immediate item at this point as well. Then take the opportunity to do new intake manifold seals and take care of the oil filter housing at teh same time.

Good choice to do all those together along with the upper radiator and bleed hose

I’ll add the a upper radiator hose to my fcpeuro cart along with the bleeder. I think I’m just going to knock everything out at once since it won’t be a daily just yet.
