Engine swap from a 2004 530i to a 2005 530i

I bought a 2005 bmw 530i from a junk yard with a blown 3.0 engine. Question is will a 3.0 motor from a 2004 bmw 530i work just swapping it out or will I have to switch parts out or flash ecu. Every thing looks excatly the same. Any help will be appreciated.

The M 54b30 engine used in the North American version of the e60 530i for modal years 2004-05 are identical down to the Siemens Engine Controle Module.

So its plug and play then thank God. I was worried cus I spent 700 on the 2004. Thank you for the great news.
