Has this been addressed? I read a lot of articles regarding this issue and most say it could just be the nozzle’s angle. I am mechanically inclined and understand car stuff. This stumps me.
Thoughts?

I get the same issue with my E90 325i. I just pull the nozzle out a tad.
It could be any number of things. Try pulling out the nozzle a little. Does it happen at every gas station? Or only certain ones? The charcoal canister could be clogged. There are also valves on the gas tank that allow the fuel vapor out as the fuel comes in. These valves push this vapor into the charcoal canister where it is stored, and then later burned into the engine. Remember fuel vapor is hydrocarbons, aka emissions.
