Ok, so I was going through some old EDC posts and found myself remarking back in 2016 that it was only a matter of time...
Well mine have been getting worse, but at this point I am pretty sure I am just riding on springs.
So the usual, pull them, send them off, wait, wait, reinstall.
But there is an update on their site
https://nagengast.pl/en/produkt/bmw-...c-front-right/
The FINALLY offer an exchange, so you just pay 1,000Poland złoty, and they ship you one, then you send back your old one and get $200Poland złoty returned
So roughly $260 and get back $50, before shipping.
I just got my 750 back on the road after lots of fiddlily repairs, but plan to do this in late spring now. Just wanted to share.

I too am aiming at doing this myself in the spring.
Couple of thoughts on my end:
1. I am trying to avoid the 200€ deposit by sending them mine (have some spares). I think the deposit is in addition to the service... but will include as I
2. Contact Nagengast for the possibility of a qty discount. I am trying to do 2 or 4 corners at a time, will ask if there is a qty discount. We will see what, is anything, is offered.
3. Unless you have a shipping account, overseas is rather expensive as all the common services try to force airmail. Think I have an alternative that would enable $70 shipped to them.

That’s good news - so, doing fronts is 500, and rears about 450, my fronts are in worse shape than the rears, so I’ll start there. Thx
Seems like a good deal; return of the existing ones can go back in the same packaging... I'm still interested in shipping costs; and total time frame on this... if you proceed with this in the spring please be sure to report back how it all went. I refreshed all of the control arms and front sway bars and bushings last summer; I did not do the EDC shocks in the front nor the EDC+SLS shocks in the rear. That day will be coming though...
Has anyone had this done? I would like to see some photos. It seems like the only way to do it is cut and re-weld the strut.

Well here is the E31 being done. No E38 on their list though that I see.

They have a very good reputation in the e31 and e34 m5 community - a picky bunch - and they have been around for quite a while
Wow! I could do that but it would take me 10 years, better just pay when the time comes.

The problem remains the same: add all the charges and, effectively, the value is marginal at best for US owners.
In Europe it's certainly different. I tried two or three times and in the end I ended up within $100 of a set of new units stateside.
I can confirm, they did a good job on my EDC shock.
