Hey guys,
For a few weeks now, cold or warm, there is a misfire on my M20B25 E30.
I have done the basics such as vacuum smoke test, checking sensors, DME outputs etc.
Had the entire fuel system checked, injectors sent to a professional and confirmed in order, new fuel pump, FPR, filter etc.
Today, i removed the AFM, TB, Coil and spark plug wires to test.
I double checked the plate (the stop screw is barely touching the plate) and readjusted the TPS (and verified continuity when idle and near WOT).
I checked the plug wires resistance (Bosch brand i got last year). All wires show 6K ohms across the board, even the CID sensor shows 0.5 Ohms (manual shows less than 1 ohm).
Now, the plug wire from the coil to the cap.....manual indicates it should be 1K Ohms +/- 200 Ohms......i see a constant 2K ohms. Is this the smoking gun i have been looking for? i checked some German workshop manuals, all say 6K for plug wires, but none are specific about the one for the coil.
Appreciate any help.
Can anyone just grab a multi meter and quickly check the resistance of the coil to cap plug wire at least to compare?
