Hi everyone, been searching the forums and needed clarity on a specific question. Decided to run a backup camera (ebay Chinese model) to a standalone monitor on my 2009 528. To power the monitor, I plan on hooking it up to the car charger directly, so i can avoid having to tap into the fuse box up front. For the camera, i know I need to tap into the 12V back-up lihgt wire, so the cam will only be engaged when I'n in reverse, but I'm seeing some people have issues with the camera not getting enough power (pulsating power). Is this issue confirmed on the E60 when powering just the back-up camera? Does anyone know which wire is the 12V+ and what the color for ground wire should be? I'm guessing yellow/white for the pos and brown for the -? Hopig it's as simple as this, thanks!
I am thinking of adding a rear camera, but I'd want to use a wireless transmitter. That will mean no trying to route that damned video cable.
Jose
