Hi, first post. I recently took on the task of replacing my daughter engine in her 2000 321 E46. Used engine with 80,000. Witnessed compression test at time of purchase. Car starte right up once I completed the swap. I kept the same intake manifold and wiring (computer?), had to keep the original oil pan so it would fit. Installed new spark plugs, oil pan gasket, rear seal, intake manifold gasket and CCV.
Problem. upon starting the car there was a couple of fuel leaks at the fuel rail/injectors. I re-installed and then it started right up. Makes load drum sound in the intake manifold. Sounds like a backfire. I am getting the following codes:
P1250P0300
P1421
P1423
P0305
P0441
P0303
Any help is appreciated!

Welcome to the Forum!
Most of the techs around here do not like to answer to a post with just "P" codes, and no description of said codes. Call me lazy, but I don't want to do the leg work to find out what each code means.
What I do see off the top of my head is you have fueling and miss-fire codes. Most of the time this is caused by vacuum leaks. Did you use OE or OEM gaskets?

Correct. P-codes are slightly above useless. P-codes without descriptions are beyond useless.

Tow it over to phadrus on Jackson st have them look at it there between Polk and Vaness

And make sure the clamps for the intake boots are secure
