So ive always wanted a e39 wagon. Currently own a e70 and a 5.0 swapped e36 M3. Got the opportunity to get a clean one before Christmas and i got it.
525iT, M54b30 swapped. ST coilovers with SLS.
Turns out the ride is pretty smooth despite the coilovers and im happy with that. Im one of those few that are not fond of the style 32 so i sold them and got tires for a set of Apex FL5 that i wanted to use on my e36 but never got around to installing them. 18x9.5 et22 and 18x10.5 et22.
Got two sets of hub bore adapters from ECS and then ran into a problem. Tires are 235/40 and 265/35
The rear needed quite a roll and a bit of a pull with the adapters in the rear. The front fit just fine.
So i sent the rears to a machine shop so that they could machine the bore to 74.1mm. It worked and without a roll. Does rub slightly on really hard dips. Otherwise no issues.
Thanks to Zameer at Uptown Automotive for all the help with the install
I do plan on lowering the front a tad for hard parking meets. As a daily, the height is just right.
Thoughts, comments?
Golly! That thing is gorgeous. Front does look a tad higher than the rear - I might agree on your temporary lowing plans for meets. Me being a wagonfile, it is beautiful regardless.
Beautiful! I have a soft spot for Alpine white as my e36 and e30 were both alpine white, and really liked the color.
I like how clean the car is! I've been so lazy to get an M bumper on my wagon, but your wagon is encouraging me to get it sooner than later!

Needs rear lights and like a red tow hitch on the back for looks. Front looks good bro. Nice facelift.
Love the wagon! Is it a 5spd?
