I noticed that I have a slot in my trunk tool kit with nothing in it. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? I like things to be complete.

Is it for the key to the wheel hub nut?

Yep, buzcu is correct. It comes without anything in that hole. If you have wheel locks, you can put the key in there.

Is that all there is supposed to be? I have all that. I thought I might be missing 1-2 things.
I don't see any velcro straps.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
I don't think the M tool kits came with straps because there is no jack or wheel chock

Most Coupes have Velcro straps, most Rdstrs don't__don't know about the non M Z3s, don't see enough of them to memorize.
Pre April 99 cars included the jack tray (on RH side) but not populated with the tools (jack & lug wrench). All mine carry a Z3 jack/wrench__in a proper <4/99 tool tray__in case I need to plug a tire...

Hey thanks guys for all the info, I really appreciate it.
Any suggestions where to look for a Z3 jack/wrench and <4/99 tool tray?
Before
After
Sorry, since I had converted this 2.5 Z3 to an M-type floor*, I thought I might've caught the bag with the part number for the jack tray; guess not.
* Car was slated to get an LS# V8 engine swap and the owner wanted space to run dual exhausts.
good stuff.
anyone know the part number for the right side jack jack tray??
I see plenty of the full width trays but clearly the one that is right side like Dr. Forbes shows is pretty rare...
Also, i have access to a high end 3D printer... wonder how hard that would be??

Carrying a tire repair kit is a great idea. Not sure why it never occurred to me before--I carry one on my bicycle!
I just ordered some. It's especially relevant for my daily driver--the Golf R has no spare.

The jack from an E39 fits the tray as well.
