Will an e34 m50 directly replace the m20

Bought an 89 e34 with the m20 that has 300k. Would the m50 that comes in the later years of the e34 be a direct replacement for the m20. Just curious what I would need to change for it to. Thanks

Youd need an m50 motor, wiring harness, ecu, and trans. As well as an m50 maf. None of that is the same between m20 and m50. I have all of those pieces available if you’d like to get your swap under way.

Cool, that's doesn't seem that hard. Ok I will keep that in mind.
