    N55 Engine from 2014 into a 2011

    Hi,
I am installing a rebuild engine from a 2014 435 -N55 into my 2011 535 xi -N55. I notice the only difference is the head style that accepts different style injectors. The 2014 injector design is different from the 2011. They are secured differently into the heads.

Q1- once engine is installed. Do I just need to update the injector coding in the DME with the corresponding flow rate calibration number?
Q2- Am I missing anything here

    Thanks

Are the high pressure fuel pump not the same as well? A couple of different electrical connectors also to deal with?

All parts were switched from the 2011 engine over to the 2014 engine for installation into the 2011 535 xi. Including vacuum and Fuel pump

Hello. I'm looking for a new engine for my 2011 535xi, and was told there are different versions of the N55 engine. What other differences have you noticed between your 2014 and 2011 engines?

    Thanks

3 different blocks, 2 different heads. So long as you use everything that goes along with it there is no problem interchanging early and late engines.

Just an FYI, you must retain the same injectors that were in the car originally. EU5 vs EU6 injectors. The DME is calibrated to run a certain style and won't work with the other (this is more than just the injector number calibration).
