This was in SFO 4 or 5 years ago, some lawyer's kid had it and did a hack job of rattle-can painting the roof black, and various other faux pas, offered for months with no takers at $2,500. I was very tempted, but nervous about prospects for the drive home...

I have the same sterlingsilber paint on one of my E34s, with all the same issues which necessitate respray, as no amount of buffing or waxing will restore the clearcoat. OTOH, such a beautiful shape deserves new paint...
