Hi all,
does anyone have the pentagon wrench for the screws on the radio head and no longer needs it?
'Cuz I need the tool to safely put the unit back in the dash.
-Jerry
You can use torx bit to accomplish this. Just have to be gentle with it.
^^ yep, no need for any special tool, anything that fits moderately snug will do. "anti theft" screw, HA! A small flat blade screwdriver has been my go to for decades.
If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
A small allen key even works too!
I disagree with all these fellows. The screw is soft brass and easily reamed out.
So I bought a proper tool on Ebay for 7 dollars. A bargain compared with disaster.
I agree with "berkelyEE". Many yrs ago I also bought the correct tool.
On a chance that you could destroy the screw head and not be able to remove the
radio is enough reason to get the correct tool.
