Diff question

Question about a 97 m3 4 door automatic. From what I have read these would have a 3.38 gear. Did all of these M3s come with an lsd diff or was it optional?

All m3 comes with lsd as standard

3.38:1 LSD for all automatic M3s unless there was a special order.

1995M3 5-speed LSDs are 3.15:1, unless there was a special order.

1996+M3 5-speed LSDs are 3.23:1, unless there was a special order for 3.38:1 or other ratio.

Eh If you find a 95 with an auto, it's got the 3.23 lsd diff... And probably the lux package. But yeah, all the other autos got the 3.38. My 95 has a 3.38, and an E46 M3 6 speed.. (and it could probably do with a 3.48 or a 3.64 to tell the truth...)
