Hi, I have a 2006 BMW e91. Only recently bought. The headlight seem to be pointing to the ground, on both Auto setting and normal On setting.
I have looked for the sensors but can't seem to find them. Any help is appreciated!!

Or the car doesn't have them. Just use the manual adjusters to raise them. It's on top of the headlamp.
Do the headlamps go down and then back up when you turn them on?

Very weird to install self leveling in a non-supporting car. Likelihood is small, but exists.
As White94RX asked, check if they move upon turning on the ignition with lights on. (should point down, then level)
If stuck down, they will do this if a sensor is faulty, for safety of oncoming traffic.
I put my money on you having the sensors and just haven't located. (alternately someone got silly when replacing parts)
Which is a really dumb default position for BMW to set, since it means you can't drive the car at night after a sensor gets broken off by running over a raccoon. The default when there's no signal from the sensor should be the standard center position (the one it would be in if there wasn't a self-leveling system) and an illuminated warning light, not two useless headlights pointing at the ground.
Post pics of headlights ?

Can someone send me a link to the correct bulbs. I know it should be simple, but I think a previous owner and cut standard bulbs out and put after market HIDs, and they don't fit the cap where the bulb sits in. So bulb was facing down which wasn't helping.

What a mess. They don't look like OEM headlights. Now you've got to solve someone else's hack job.
