I received a free 330ci . ItÂ’s a nice car quick but not fast. IÂ’d like to make it more fun. I am a mechanic by trade but i will need all the help I need. Initially I seen a turbo kit from techniquetunning for about $7000 usd which is ok. But I want to build a top mount turbo set up with a larger a.r and 1000cc injectors. One issue I am having is it seems the stroke of the m54b30 make this engine very low on torque. I have time and some money IÂ’d like to make this happen over the course of two three years. I am hoping ball park 500whp with the car looking as oem as I can. I do not mind lowering the compression for more boost as it will be a weekend car . One concern I do have is the power train I hear it has a torque limiting sensor. I just hope in the couple years of this build I can stay true to bmw and have a 330ci thatÂ’s more fun. First thing on my agenda is to find a good piggy back issue or standalone prefurabley with a maf sensor and a wide band input so I have less chance of leaning out due to the climate .

Otherwise m54 is a solid platform. You’ll need to lower compression for above 400whp or so.
I can do stock bore, drop in, pistons for turbo if you’d like.
