    Looking good, as usual...

Pulled the oil pan in the '96 because of some rattling sounds from below. Was worried maybe the oil pump bolts had come loose. Well, well, well...

Most of them are loose. These two had fallen out.

But good news, no bits of guide and boy it sure is clean and silvery in there.

Will put some Loc-tite on the OP bolts and torque them down, adjust oil pump chain tension, and reassemble with a new oil pan gasket. Yes I will reuse the old oil pan bolts, they are perfectly fine.

I know this is a common issue on the earlier prefacelift M60 and M62s...

Installed new wishbones and traction struts. New speed sensor too along with repairing the male plastic connector.

What wishbones did you use? I replaced both sides taking a gamble with rein from fcp and the rubber quickly cracked and now looks pretty ugly. I will definitely replace these under warranty sometime soon...

I used Lemforder for the wishbones and traction struts. I hesitate to use any other brand besides Lemforder on suspension components, they appear to be very well built.

Replaced the Ebay version LED fog light bulbs with a pair from LED Light Street. Also went with the Canceling unit to eliminate the fault check on my cluster. The new bulbs come with a built in cooling fan but are considerably bigger than stock. However the bulb housing and fan is weather proof. Based on that, a small amount of RTV was placed on the base of the bulb housing to hold in place and the back cover of the fog light housing left off while the bulbs we’re hardwired into place. So far so good. Trying to post photos.

Are you planning on putting the back cover on so the water does not get in the fog light

No it’s all weather proof and I also have the Alpina lip for extra protection. All electrical connections or heat shrink wrapped

Finally replaced the rear window regulator. Took time figuring out how to put the glass back in. Also put in a working window shade.

Thanks! I've put this repair off for a long time. Getting the glass out of the car and back in was the hardest part.
