I am not the biggest MB fan myself, but that ML is really something else. Driving nicely on road and very good off road, just a really good car in my opinion. Yes it is permitted to swap engines, but thing is, for example my BMW, i want to swap the 2.5l tds engine to another 2.5l tds engine, i could swap it without any problems when it comes to registration. If i want to replace the 2.5l tds engine to the 3l D engine, there will be alot more trouble to register the car to make it legally driveable. You would have to do ALOT of paper work, deliver evidence that, that specifically engine was equipped in that car, etc. Its not really worth going through all that hassle, making that engine swapped car legally would probably cost more than the car is worth.Originally Posted by GZilla

Great pictures! What is the exterior color? In one of the pictures, it looks like you have a remote control in front of the shifter. What device is that for? (Wondering if you have an updated television module in your car that supports a remote control?).
Where did you get a rubber seal for the rain gutter area above the doors??

Hello, the color bmw orientblau metallic 317. The remote control is for the digital TV module, swap with analog. The self-adhesive gasket bought in an automotive store gives a link to the online store

I think that's the same for most of us...THX, for 10 years it is easier for me to say what I did not replace in the car
FINALLY...Took my ABS module to Module Pro in Van Nuys (45 min drive from me) and got it two days later. No more Tri-fecta lights on the e38. They did tell me it had a stored brake switch code they had trouble erasing, so I'll be replacing that in case it's causing some issues.

Put the winter tires early on,because will hopefully get an alignment on monday, did that on the w211 Mercedes today and the car drives absolutely incredible. Hopefully they'll finally be able to do the e38 properly, it would be nice after all these years for it to drive properly again.. Lets see and hope!

Ordered a set of lloyd luxe mats in dark blue to replace a set of oem black mats. I had actually bought the black mats in Jan to replace a set of crusty sand beige mats, but the velcro pad on the driver mat got yanked off couple months back. Got really annoying having to pull the mat back every time I got in/out of the car. The lloyd mats look and feel nicer than the oem mats and I think the dark blue goes nice with the sand beige interior and orient blue exterior. Having proper anchors that go through the mat instead of velcro is nice too. We'll see how the mats standup to daily use.

Tinted the upper part of my taillights. Original where clears, but started to fade/yellow.

Bimmer mudflaps! I thought I was the only one! I ordered a set years ago. (From the now defunct bavauto iirc) I think they look great on the car, not to mention they keep the gravel off my paint.
