Question FUEL FILTER for my 4USBT33483LS426759

One of the first tasks to do on the used Z4 is to figure out why it will no longer start. I wish to change out the fuel filter. MaYBE i REALLY DON'T AFTER WHAT I HAVE READ ABOUT DOING THIS. I assumed it would be an under-carriage in-line filter with maybe a built-in regulator. I keep reading about this horrendously complicated in-tank fuel filter style - scary. Q: How can I determine what type of filter to expect to see? Before I crawl under I need to know if it will be worth it! Car has only 22k miles and was running. Car sits in an unheated garage, dry but still relatively protected from the elements. Water/Ice?

Yes a lot of disassembly for a fuel filter change.
It may simply be a case of stale fuel in the lines. I had a no start condition one spring after winter hibernation.

Also link to the part of the catalog pertaining to the fuel filter https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=16_0541

ECSTuning is not always best price but have pictures of most parts online. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/16117197690/

You might try also disposing of old stale fuel,
adding a couple of gallons fresh fuel,
along with a bottle of Chevron Fuel System/Fuel Injector Cleaner,

    Worth a try !
