Clutch recommendations for higher horsepower e36 with a get rag 420g

My e36 needs a new clutch, figured since I'm gonna be boosting it soon (turboing not supercharging) I might as well throw in something that'll handle around 550whp, I know clutches are normally rated in torque so I would assume 550wtq is around what a boosted e36 making 550whp would make, any recommendations on a clutch thou? I was looking at the DKM e46 m3 twin disk clutch kit, since I have a 6 speed swap I have to use a e46 m3 clutch but what do you guys think?

Also does anyone know if I need anything special since it's a different trans or would a e46 m3 clutch kit have everything?
    thanks

My southbend is doing great with 684 rwtq..but not sure if they make one for your set-up...I really like the southbend even though its around 1000.00, every time you wear it out, send it back for a rebuilt and they actually send you a new kit for under 200.00..

What kind of southbend clutch is it? I'll email them and ask if they have that same one for a get rag 420g.

Is that $1000 with or without a flywheel?

I believe it's the stage 5 ceramic. It's just the pressure plate, throw out bearing , and clutch.. You can use your dual mass flywheel

Check out xclutch. I have their 9" twin disc rigid ceramic rated for 1240ft/lb of torque.

Twin disk includes flywheel and is the way to go for big power. Competition Clutch and DKM make ones that are popular for these motors. I ran the SB for years on the stock dual mass. I had to change to the fully ceramic version once I started drag racing. I recently changed to a twin disk as part of a 6 speed swap since my SB would not fit the trans.

Which twin disk did you switch too? And you don’t think the organic one that dkm sells would work?

I am using a custom setup by Spec that 22RPD put together as part of its GS6-53 conversion. I went with ceramic because I have fused clutches at the drag strip before. If you don’t drag race then organic will be fine and organic is a little easier to drive. DKM and Competition Clutch seem to be pretty popular. I know that with CC you can get ceramic if you want it and the ceramic is very driveable. A friend has the CC twin ceramic. CMS Motorsports sells the CC. Maybe others. Maybe it us the same as DKM — I don’t know.

    are slow.
DKM is really popular with the N54 crowd. They hold crazy levels of power, and engage like a stock clutch. Twin disc is really the way to go, anything else is to have big drawbacks. There's no way a single multi-puck ceramic clutch engages anywhere near as smooth as a twin can.

550wtq you can go anywhere from a cheap Ebay Fx racing stage 4 clutch kit, twin disc UUC (wouldn't recommend), Twin disc DKM, south bend, etc. So many good options at that power level.

I run a single plate 850csi 280mm segmented clutch plate with modified pressure plate but I’m only holding 450rwhp and a centrifugal blower on an m60. bugger going for a puk clutch as drivablity will be awful. I’ll prob go to a twin plate setup to keep drivability good.
