    M50b28 stroker turbo?

    Hey,

Merry Christmas every one that reads my thread.
First of all - sorry for my English as its not my native language.

So i have an e36 with m50b20 vanos witch is not very exiting as you could tell. To make me giggle again while pushing throttle i was thinning to throw in m50b25 and send it all day long as its enough for little e36 go side ways without much clutch kicking. But now im driving e60 m54b25 as a daily and it was fun for like first day. i know its way bigger car but i know that 2.5 in e36 will be fun also for a month tops. What i was thinking a lot of years now is to build a stroker with m54b30 internals on a m50 block but then again I like turbo sounds a lot. So what i ended up wanting is a m50 stroker with a m52b28 internals and then boosting it. And as i dont know much and learning everyday all my life so far - i need advice from you guys. I will list my setup and then i would wish that you would edit it a little or say where im wrong or maybe whole idea is wrong.

    the all mighty setup

M50B25 block as to start from
M52B28 crank - i heard its forged is that true?
    M52B28 135mm rods - will they hold???
M42B18 pistons - as they 9.5 comp and 84mm bore so it should be perfect i guess???
M50B25 NV head as of double springs
arp studs for head as safety feature
what about HG? need any decomp hg for even lower comp and better spool?
    will this frankenshtein even work?

As turbo follows im green here and have not much knowledge at all but hey we all need somewhere to start right?
i can get new holset hx35w for super cheap and i know little that hx35 is perfect for m50. what can i achieve on the wheels with this bad boy spooling this list of parts? and would it even be safe?
im not planing running drag strip with it. just whant to build engine for education and have something fun for weekend.
most important is what to do with ecu? as if i need an aftermarket one it would set my wallet a side like a lot. as all these other parts here in east europe cost nearly nothing to get. is it possible to put a tune in stock ecu?

any info is welcome and would be very helpful. im not hoping that everything would be answered and im reading all the forum about everything every free second i have.

    again sorry for bad English.

The M42 pistons won't really gain you anything. The M42 has a different stroke and rod length, and I think a different deck height on the block as well, so all of this changes the effective compression ratio. All of the B28 and B30 cranks are forged.

Either the stock M52B28 or M54B30 internals work fine in an M50B25 block and will easily make 450-500 whp with good fuel and a safe compression ratio.

Here are some options for lowering the compression ratio from K64 in poland.

The stock M52 or M54 pistons and rods will be plenty strong enough for 1-1.5 bar of boost or so. If you want to make more than that someday you will need to upgrade the connecting rods. You can use the stock rods from an M50B25nv motor which will hold 800+ whp and are the same length as the M52 and M54 rods. Another option to both lower the compression ratio and strengthen the rods is the 133mm rods that K64 sells. This fixes two problems at the same time.
