2006 750i throwing P0970

Hey guys,

Just throwing this up as I'm at a bit of a loss other then tearing into the transmission. I had a battery that has been very low for the past year. Last Monday I had some misfires which after some troubleshooting looked to be ignition coils. I replaced those on Thursday night and on Friday when driving into work I received the p0970 code and the BMW went into limp mode. When I got to work and shut the car off I then could no longer get into gear when I started the car. Had the car towed home and used INPA to get more details then my ODB2 adapter could give me.

Replaced the dead battery and went to clear the code but it continues to come back and keeps me locked out of switching into drive, reverse, or neutral. Looking for any advice anyone might have.

Try clearing the DME RAM (memory?). It seems to retain all kinds of things despite disconnecting the battery and all of that.
