Hello guys!
I have a rear mirror with compass/temperature auto dimming, alarm led and homelink.
Everything works great, exept the compass and the temperature... It stays all the time like the photo....
Obviously, the mirror dont know the temperature, because i need to plug some wire to some where (i dont know where or wich one), and the compass??
So... The mirror have 4 aditional wires... Where should i plug them???
Regards!!!
I'm pretty good with electronics. If you can get me a part number for the mirror I can probably find a schematic and tell you how to wire it up to work for what you need.
Get me a part number and I'll get your back. Peace!
The only numbers i see are in the second photo. Also has this part number behind The mirror 015313, but i allready google it, and shows a lot of mirrors, none of them has the 2 plugs.... I have one of a kind mirror loool
Anyone?

I think the other harness belongs to auto wiper sensor and wires are routed through the mirror's harness.
Have you tried resetting the compass using the blind button on the bottom of the mirror. The mirror and all it's functions run from one power source and since the screen lights up, power isn't the problem. If anything, I'd swap the mirror for another. I have done this upgrade many times and it is always plug-n-play.

This. I wouldn't be surprised if the mirror itself has a temp sensor, or, better yet, is now supported at all, since I only know BMW's with the compass, not temp display.
Also, this is the old big clownnose version with always-visible LCD display. I would fit the much nicer later flatnose, hidden compass, matching dot-matrix display version.
Like I did in my E36.

I'm wondering how to tell if the mirror has temperature display.
The compass is the little screen in the right upper corner?
How do you check it with "hidden" compass?
