Hi everyone, this is a general question for anyone who could possibly help.
When idling or going under 15 mph my 2015 428i almost whistles at me. It’s not break squeaking or any slight squeak it’s a full on whistle and somewhat unbearable volume wise.
Took it to BMW; technician said they couldn’t reproduce the sound, that’s impossible to believe. They suggested maybe a wheelie alignment.
Went back to BMW and got the alignment. For a day or two it was slightly better. Then it returned.
I’m lost. Clueless. I thought it was the breaks but BMW said there is 6 mm left on all of them.
Any clues?
This has always been CPO and I have ultimate care + on top of that.
Ride with the shop foreman and duplicate the noise for them.

Stop driving past construction sites
Try switching off the aircon and see if it stops.

If this is occurring also at idle (assuming you are not moving), then not brake related. If so, its possibly the Positive Crankcase Valve which is an integral part of the Valve Cover has failed. With the engine at idle and park, do you hear the whistle? If so, try removing the oil fill cap. it is normal to have a slight vacuum on it, but if it is substantial then the PVC may have failed. Here are a couple of videos to aid it troubleshooting the PCV and replacing it . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ajrdq10Zfv4 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqoNtu7QHyw
