    key worn?

My key has trouble locking the driver's door 99Z3Coupe, unlocking is much easier, last night it would only unlock the pass. door?, and the driver's door wouldn't unlock from inside!,had to crawl over the console, is a new key going to help?, it mechanically won't turn, looks pretty worn,146K?

Trying to remember if in you had the 4-sided key, or the laser cut type. I am thinking the 4-sided, as they do tend to get worn down over time, and give people problems with the locks, and ignition switch. Those keys are pretty cheap, like 75 bucks from a dealership, and if you don't have a second one, perfect time to get one!

Yea, heading to dealer tomorrow, I only had one key anyhow.I can't make it myself, but I did make a Bavaria key back in the day, they had dimples of varying depths.

addendum; new key is in a paper bag with haz-mat warning about perchlorate material and a government link, I haven't checked it out yet, but did use the key!!, am I going to die?!
