Hello,
I'm looking to buy an e36 M3 or spece46 race car. Key specs are:
-As turn key as possible
-Fully caged (bmwcca, scca, NASA legal). I'm tall, so a cage geared towards a larger person is a big+, probably the most important item.
-As much safety gear as possible, i.e. fire system, electrical cutoff etc
-For an e36 m3, Ideally targeted towards BMWCCA IP, but similar/lesser levels of prep considered, no s54 or motor swaps. Not looking for a Cmod type build.
-spece46. these are a bit pricier, so Id likely be looking at a basic build or something not quite race ready, but a full cage is a must.
Not interested in cars with roll bars. I currently have an e36 track car with a roll bar. I'm looking to take it a level further with the safety and race prep. Budget is flexible depending on the car.
I'm on racingjunk and a few Facebook groups, but have seen a good number of cars posted here in the past. If you have or know someone looking to sell let me know! I'm located in Atlanta GA.

Bump, still looking.
Dan March just listed his IS car. It's listed in the HPDRE Marketplace and the official BMW CCA Club Racing page. Both groups are private, but you can request to join.

David Leblanc’s car is also for sale on the Facebook groups right now. That is the ip championship winning car last year.
Yep, have spoken to both of them and looked at the white car in person last year. Would have brought it home if it wasn't for my height/seat setup.
Hey, I have a well prepared full cage e36 sedan track car with BMW, NASA, and SCCA log books. It has a S50 motor with high compression pistons, cams, and accusump. Car also has front Brembos, and is running Ground Control double adj. suspension with 800/900lb springs. It is a well prepared, sorted out car. It has not been used in a few years, it will need updated belts and window nets. I am asking 16,500.00 for it. Thanks, David
My car is for sale on BF now. Let me know if you need any additional info.

Thanks for reaching out! Two more great looking cars. Unfortunately the cages won't work for my height. To mount my seat far enough back I'll need a cage with the main hoop mounted exactly flush up against the rear seat area and not protruding even with the B pillar window opening, or ideally up in the small pockets between the rear seat area and the A pillar.
How tall are you? I don't know how to get the cage any further back and still maintain the vertical axis needed for the main hoop.

6'7, not fun for fitting into racecars. Getting the main hoop back is possible, have seen it in a few vehicles. Just means I have to be a bit more patient. Often the foot plates of the cage can be boxed on the small triangle "step" that exists between the rear seat pan and A pillar. That and having the harness bar bent back in a U shape is important.
