burn off the tread on the rears and then replace just the rears without renewing the fronts and see what happens...
This could be a true statement. I took a chance in the pursuit of the ever elusive perfect balance of look, handling and ride quality. My DSC works flawlessly with this set of 19", and the set of 18" that I have as well. I wonder if the fact that my car is a M73 makes any difference?

Before & after a computer reset.
Could be an instant fault criteria versus adaption.

I still think you’re just missing the point. I’ve got nothing against 19 inch wheels. I run a set of 19 inch BBS LM‘s on my 96 850 CI. But I make sure I have the right size tires on them.

I tell you how it should be and what it can be. 19 is not good size to begins with
    E31 biggest should be 18

Okay, so you are either schizophrenic or a troll -- in an earlier post, you praised someone's 20" wheels, now you say 18" is the biggest for an E31. Here is a picture of mine with 19s (the Oxford Green one -- click on the photo for a better view), which have worked fine for the past four years given the proper offsets and tire sizes. I like them; you don't have to (as an aside, I also like the 20" Alpinas on the pink/purple car you posted).

I say its possible to fit. I have seen 21 inches too.

If you want master class stance works
    Then you need 18 12j ET7 to ET9
    10j for front.

Well I can see how much gap is in your front wheels . I can also see due to high offset possibly ET30 or 35 you running quite slim tyres. It look like shit to my standard when you run shit size alloys No matter what size tyres you run

The red one is perfect I love style 21
    CSI styling.

Also run my own setup for style 21 which is perfectly fill up arches no issue

Next time talk when you walk this road

There is no significant gap -- the front wheels are turned. And it's not just CSi styling -- it's a '94 CSi.

I don't understand the attitude. I don't think anyone said anything to disrespect your opinions or car. I said I am not a fan of the stretched fitment, but I didn't say anything disrespectful. This forum is to share information, and to enjoy the 8 series, not to argue and insult. It is clear that you have a lot of knowledge and experience with the 8 series, and I appreciate that. Hopefully, we can get better at sharing our opinions and experience, without the animosity.

F13platform please give it a break. Nobody is saying your setup is good or bad, well maybe some, but it's all good. You like your's and I like mine. Everyone here has a e31 that looks great and has 16,17,18,19,20,and maybe? 21 inch wheels. This site is meant to talk about, admire, and enjoy our dwindling classic cars to the masses. Let's all enjoy them while we fan.

Gentlemen, please read the forum rules https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum-rules/
    AGREE TO DISAGREE, RESPECTFULLY
We invite and encourage a healthy exchange of opinions; disagreements are okay. If you disagree with a member’s post or opinion, by all means, challenge the opinion. However, any challenge must be given with a sense of respect and caring for the other person. The real objective of community is to understand each other, not to attack others and convince them that you’re right. Name-calling, insults, “flaming” and attacks are not appropriate and will not be tolerated. Agree to disagree respectfully.

    DON’T ATTACK EACH OTHER
Because this is so important, we’ll say it again: Don’t attack others. Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. Challenge others’ points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully … without insult and personal attack. Harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful or bashing communications — especially those aimed at sexual orientation, gender, race, color, religious views, national origin, or disability — will not be permitted. BEFORE you post a message that is intended to embarrass, humiliate or harass another person or group of people, stop and THINK first! Harassing communications are considered to be those that may cause distress, embarrassment, unwanted attention or other discomfort.
