LED Dome lights

So I decided I wanted LED lights in the cabin. I bought Sylvania 6411 Super Bright LED's.
Got a good price since I work in a auto parts store and I had coupons.
But after installing just one I am ready to switch back. The light is more cold than the incandescents and doesn't seem as bright.
These are 6000k bulbs.
Over all I have to give cabin LEDs a thumbs down.
I only installed one and will be returning the other one.

Yeah, I've been on the fence, about installing leds in the interior. Some cars can really pull it off with the led lighting. I think these old E39s look better with the ambient color of the incandescent bulbs... At least with SANDBEIGE interior.

I have the complete led interior lights in my green/beige wagon. I got them from some seller on EBay with thousands of sales, hardly any bad feedback, ordered the complete set, map lights , sun visor lights, all the cabin lights, front to rear, the bottom of the doors, the light on the tailgate when you pop it open, and the light in the glovebox. For me, it is cold light as it’s gotta be above 5 or 6K, I would rather have 3500 to 4000K, but!!! They are so freakin bright, you almost need sunglasses in there when they are all on, it’s actually not bad at all. One of the things I will do, solder on a few yellow led’s to warm it up a bit, wouldn’t be hard at all. Been a year now, so far so good. Those led bulbs at PepBoys and Advanced are lame, you have to get the lights that are multiple led’s soldered onto a circuit board with a good heat sink pasted onto the rear of the boards. If anyone is interested, I’ll look up my purchase history and see if it’s still on my list. The dude that sells them is an electrical engineer who owns an E39 and originally made a set for himself, tested it to see if the values on his resistors were correct and the Lee’s wouldn’t just cook themselves after a few months of use. I have had my doors open and had all the lights on until the car goes to sleep, the housings are just slightly warm to the touch, none of them have gone out yet, been a little over a year. I recall spending $46 for them.
