all,
I flushed my ecu with new firmware from daten v65 and it has messed up the car.
I didn't know i should use NCS expert to read the config from each module before upgrading and only came to realise such need after doing it.
I currently have DSC and saftey tentioner warning on. I can use NCS Expert to find out what each value mean and adjust according to what I think should be but that is far from ideal as I could disable something unintentionally .
What is suggestion on this forum ?
I simply need to know the E64 convertible values for airbag and dsc values.
Hi,
Encode modules with empty man file, all will go back to factory settings

how would i create an empty file, open the psw and clear content and save ?
Can you help me understand this please.
I flashed the tm modules which resulted in car window switches working in a bizzare manner. Left switch operated right window and vice versa
also back window on convertable stopped working .
I used ncs expert and ncs dummy and fixed the options as car was thinking it is saloon e60 and left hand drive. once I did, it all worked.
so question is, does flashing reset setting back to factory or a random value ?
Yes. Open FSW_PSW.trc, delete all contents and save as FSW_PSW.man.
It depends on what software programme you used to flash-program with. Seeing as you're using NCS, I will assume that you used WinKFP (and not NFS), to manually flash-program each ECU. WinKFP doesn't make any coding changes itself, they're just set to the coding index defaults for that specific flash-program.
fixed . i flashed it again with blank file and sorted
