Adding remote start to a 2019 5 series

My BMW lease did not come with remote start and wondering if I would be allowed to have it installed since it's a lease. I would have the dealer do it if that's the only way for it not to violate the warranty/lease terms but it would be more expensive.

I believe that BMW offers a retrofit kit on the newer vehicles. Check with your parts department to see if there is one available. The one from BMW shouldn't affect your warranty or lease terms.

Do NOT attempt to have an aftermarket unit installed. They do not play nice with BMW electronics, and that can void the warranty if it causes problems.

Do you have the key with the display or just a basic one? I think the display version is necessary for that.
