Universal Exhaust Hanger Bracket Clamp Pipe Solution

Hey, I'm making an exhaust bracket and I want to hear your thoughts on the most simplistic universal solution based from your experience. I'm trying to redesign this DIY job into something more friendly

While it did work, those rubber mounts were so old they disintegrated, not to mention it was hard to get a socket in there to actually remove it. The person didn't put much thought during the welding. Original plan was to keep the OEM rubber + metal, but I changed my mind (even after I restored them) when I saw the prices for BMW brackets. Not to mention the amount of threads from people who posted pictures of them failed. Still would be nice to attach the OEM backbox

I've looked at what my local car club friends are running and pretty much every idea I have in mind has been used. This one in particular being the most overused:

I actually found you can buy these on the internet, but they are pricey for something so stupid, a piece of rubber bolted between 2 flat metal brackets...(yeah I know I can make it myself)

Seriously I can buy x4 of these (either rubber or polyurethane) for the cost of the one above

Which brings me to exhaust hangers. A simple bend metal rod welded directly and then hung up onto those universal rubber/poly brackets. Your typical aftermarket stainless steel upgrade uses this design, which makes me think It could be the better option if constantly crashing...?

I know I'm overthinking this but it's nice to put thought behind it rather than just go out and weld it. I want the most universal solution which allows a) easy swap b) different muffler / straight pipe to be fitted quickly in the pit stop.

p.s Yes I know I can put 2 different styles, leave the OEM ones hanging for a muffler and weld/bolt another set for the aftermarket pipe

On a previous car i had..
I cut the exhaust off maybe 8" before.
Used 2 pieces of id to slip over and welded onto the exhaust.
Any exhaust i wanted to change slipped into these id pipes snugly without much leak at all.
Any exhaust muffler or tip had the same mount on it to fix to the stock brackets.

I think the only real option that would work better than the stock hangers would be some sort of mount that also bolts onto the stock studs then just hugs the muffler. Then a single pipe clamp would hold the muffler together.

Pricey but I won't have to mess with hangers for life of my car either.
