I don't get it but if you have the money to spend it please do so. I have already solved this problem long time ago but apparently experience is not being appreciated here.
I have seen your message on private and I was not interested, so I did not replay. You said
"I could make for you fully equiped headlights with new lenses (and glass if you wish) but with the latest halogen's, the projectors would be RHD bi-xenon projectors but with halogen bulbs of course so you wouldn't have any troubles with MOT."

Is this what you mean by: "I already gave you the answer to all of this"?

For professional respray of two projectors I am paying 36 pounds or like 40 dollars. It includes fine sand blasting of all of the existing coatings, primer, vacuum aluminium coating.
Is that expensive? Or did I miss something out SilverV12?

At that price for a re-spray of the current projectors, definitely do that first and see if you're happy with it. That's pretty cheap for any kind of headlight fix or upgrade.

The high beams are H7 bulbs. I upgraded those to Vosla 65w H7. Osram made 65w H7’s but were discontinued a while ago. The factory H7 bulb puts out about 1500 lumens and the Osram/Vosla 65w version puts put 2100 lumens. Pretty decent upgrade if you use your high beams.

The projectors returned to me today, and I have already installed them on the car.

The difference is large, the mirror is now perfect i.e. like new.
IMG_20200108_232430.jpgIMG_20200108_221511.jpg I recommend metalization highly, cheap and the effect is like having new lights. No cleaning or wiping can fix burned projector.

Where did you have it done? That would be great info for the DIY section

I sent them of to Poland, unfortunately their website was only translated to Russian and German so far.

They exist in the market for ages, even been on TV, very nice and professional people. Cheap, quick. Normally 3-4 working days.

I tried really hard in the UK, but UK is UK. Can pay with PayPal.

You’re right, you did ok to have them rebuild in Poland and at such an inexpensive price but in the end these projectors and lenses are still and remain old school projectors from the early 90’s and have been surpassed by much better projectors including lenses.
As I have said before I do understand that you’re confined by UK law and MOT regulations concerning halogen versus xenon lights but even so with modern day projectors you could gain so much more light actually projecting on the road. Even with halogen light bulbs.
A few years ago I made my first bracket from aluminium that can house most 2.5 inch projectors if not all in the PFL E38, ever since I have made dozens of them and have done about the same amount of bi-xenon projector retrofits so I do know what I am talking about and to me refurbishing an old style projector would not fly, I just toss them in the bin. Would be a waste of money now that these superb projectors are so inexpensive to buy.
But that’s just my opinion and am glad that you have achieved your goal and that you’re happy with it, so good for you!

You seem very unhappy about me doing it. Am I taking you customers or something? The refurbished projectors give very very nice light output, and pattern onto the road. I don't want to make this discussion hot, but next time when you want to throw away old projectors, please let me know.

I know that some new projectors on the market are better, but it doesn't mean that original ones are bad at all. They are fantastic, great cut off, really wide illuminated angle, and much better than any halogen I pass on the road.
