car is a 2008 x5 3.0L, has around 173k miles; Bi-Xenon lights; so my parking light angel went off, check it, and bulb its fine, i swap it with the right (passenger) headlight and it works, but i notice my wires inside are brutal, coming apart, check for blown fuse, there is none, then my low bean went off, again check for blown fuse there is none, got a used but in working condition left (driver) headlight, did the swap, everything on this light works, but on my car still parking light and low bean (HID) wont work, im not getting power to the unit, and there is no blown fuse, any recommendation here, dont know were else to look? thanks
any one
Sounds like the loom to get the unit power is kaput. Validate with a voltmeter. Repair/replace that.

hey thanks for the reply, im going crazy with this, now sorry for my lack of knowledge, what do you mean with the "loom to get the unit power is kaput".
i check with a voltimeter the connection but is not getting power. i also read about the footwell module may be causing this. any idea? i want to start by the simple part first.
also i cant have any inpa software to work with this car, i have around 5 cables and none seems to connect with it.

You are on the right track. So the connection at the light is the first test. Now trace the lines back and validate the power there and eventually back to the module. It maybe that you have a faulty module but check the lines first.
As for wiring diagrams etc, got to www.newtis.info. You can either use your VIN or just browse to your year/model. Then go to the wiring diagrams or just do a search.

well trace cables back to module, everything seems good, there its a fault code at my FRM II module, may be that, read a little and people adv this can cause it, so i sent it to a "fix guy" received back today connected and still same issue, have no response back from him.
i have a question if i pull a FRM II same part number same vehicle package, do i need to code it, or this will work plug and play? sorry for the long reply, i was waiting on module.
well, i bought a FRM3 with the same matching number as my oem module, and it was plug and work, nothing was coded or anything, everything seems to be working on order. i hope this help someone on a future
