2001 E46 330i Koni Special Active shocks with Eibach Pro Kit springs - REAR TOO LOW?

    Hi All
As the title says, I ordered Koni Special Active shocks with Eibach Pro Kit springs for a 2001 330i, 4dr, no sport package or ZHP. Front setup is great, rear is too low to drive on stock 17" rims with 205/45 tires, see pic.
Now, the vendor is telling me the Koni Special Actives are only for stock springs not to be used with Eibach lowering springs. I know the Special Active shocks were previously the gold painted FSD shocks and were recommended too run with the Pro Kit. Theres a lot of e46 members complaining the combo didnt achieve low enough results and they would even leave out some of the rubber coil seats to get it lower.
I had to put the stock coils back in with the SA shocks just to get it driveable.

    What did i mess up?

Dude I have no idea what you did, but that rear drop looks nasty. Shocks have nothing to do with ride height (in the rear) as they sit separate from the springs, but you probably knew that. I have eibach pro kit springs which sit a lot higher than this.

This is how mine sits. Top was H&R, bottom is Eibach pro-kit freshly installed (dropped about a little less than a centimeter llater on)

Can you lift it up, take off the wheel and take some pics of the install in the rear?

Yours seems indeed higher than normal. Looks great! do you have any videos on how that was done?

Does the E46 have the different height rubber insulating pads for the back like the E36? Maybe yours are too thin and you need to up them to 15mm or something.
