Aux for e53 x5 (non nav)

Hey I just got my hands on an e53 and I’ve really been wanting to play my own music. Has anyone had any luck finding a good aux solution that actually works? Thanks in advance!

If you find an X5 CD player that has production of 2003 and up, there is a cable you can purchase that will connect to the back for the aux. There is a thread on it somewhere. You push the mode button and get radio, cd, and aux. I just did this to replace my CD player for my 2001, and it works perfectly. I routed the cable through the back of the radio and HVAC controls and out in front of the 12 volt plug in the front ashtray.
