Can't seem to find any info here about users with them unless they're called something else. The lights are Hella H11626001.
I see them at pelican, europarts, amazon etc. Listed for E34/E42 1988-1995.
Are these going to provide significant improvement over my factory low beams? Different pattern?
Just wondering about fitment, installation etc. WOuld love to hear from a driver with them on their car. Thanks in advance.
Joe
They look to be run of the mill US market "ellipsoids" to me... You probably have the same lights if you have a late e32/4. I know earlier e34 cars had a more basic reflector setup with ribbed glass, but in the later years, US market cars were switched to this lens style headlight design. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same thing for e32s.
Thanks Mless. I read all these lighting posts but mainly find drivers looking to more than I'm interested in. Just looking for basic upgrade in light throw down the road while being easy install. The Hellas looked like they may do it but figured I'd ask around.
If you currently have this style of headlights https://prussianmotors.com/1989-1995...amp-oem-22260/
than what you've linked to will be a slight upgrade.
I upgraded my 92 735iL to these lights, they are an improvement. Be warned though, it's not a spectacular increase in light, but it's more focused. More usable light would be an accurate way of saying it. The high beams are quite good though. I made a video about the lights, hope it helps.

Thanks again to you both. Yes those are my OEM lights. They are pretty decent, I'm not complaining. Just looking to upgrade 1991 technology. The focused beam would be nice, not necessarily looking for a million lumens. Thanks for the video Cactuar, the info on the bushings will help.
