    S52 Muffler Delete

Thinking of deleting my mufflers in the z3m and leaving the resonators. Anyone have concrete info on impact to torque or power? Not so concerned about sounds, but would love to lose the weight. Seem a few comments about negative impacts, but look to be theoretical or assumed but nothing measured.

I can't see how the factory muffler would affect power much at all (up or down).

It'll be very loud though, and you'd need to run some pipes out the back or risk setting underbody stuff on fire.

Yes, would run stock pipes so bit looks stock, just get rid of the heavy boxes

i'm trying to figure out what to do with an m-coupe and mufflers. way too quiet currently (stock mufflers), so it needs help badly. i considered running pipes and tips out the back, but was worried about the quality of sound. did you find any videos of just muffler delete? have you considered a custom set up with simple lightweight mufflers?

I don't think this is suitable for a street only car, but for one that's primarily track use, it shouldn't be too problematic
