Hello, as said before in previous posts i bought a bmw e61 with some problems, one of the problem is a long crank issue.
The car does start, however if i drive the car for a while and shut the car off for 10 mins, the long cranking problem will appear.
I have checked the battery, replaced the spark plugs and camshaft sensor but did no difference.
I have checked for codes and all i am getting is fuel trim faults and missfire.
Maf is fine, pulled it out when the car was on and idle got worse.
Doesnt seem to be any problem with the crankcase ventilation, the car does burn alot of oil though but within bmw "standards"..
Any suggestions on what to look for?
I am in serious need of help, so any suggestions at all would be great!

Sounds like leaking injectors or fuel bleeding into the intake. I had that problem on an older M5 and the fuel pressure regulator had a cracked diaphragm which leaked fuel back through the vacuum line after the engine shut off. What did the plugs look like?
Here is some pictures of the old spark plugs.
I should also mention that on some days the car dont want to start at all, so i get out and press the valve on the fuel "bridge" and the car starts fine after that.

Does my car have a fuel module? Saw on another forum that a guy had very similar problems with his e90, problem was an old fuel module. Just a suggestions, i am kinda out of ideas at this point.

Those spark plugs was the older ones, changed to new ones already.
It feels like the car is getting to much fuel but if that was the case, shouldnt the spark plugs be alot darker?

Just wanna make sure on some points.
Ignition: anything about ignition that could be the problem?
Fuel: fuel pump issue? Fuel module? Injectors?
Leakage: long cranking due to oil burning? Common on these engines that the oil control ring on the piston is stuck and makes oil leak into the cylinder.
Ground?
Corroded cables underneath the car?

Quick update, i put some stp injector cleaner in yesterday and the car seems to get a bit better, still not perfect.
It feels like the car is not as sluggish as it was, the start problem remains though.
When i'm trying to start the car it fires up quicker, but its still taking like 3-4 seconds before it actually fires up.
I pulled some codes and the codes i got was 9c77, 93f9, 2882, 2883, 27c3, 27df, 278b and 28ac.
Got the first 2 codes from another reader, 2c77 and 93f9.
Any thoughts?

Update, i am fairly sure i know the problem with my car. Pulled some fault codes and i got 2 codes back, one was 278b(coolant temp sensor) and the other one was 93f9(sgm/sim module faulty).
As its really tight to remove the temp sensor without removing the manifold i am going to turn the car in to a mechanic shop.
About the 93f9 code, does anyone know how to repair it? I cant get a connection with the sgm module so i assume the 2 capacitors inside are blown. Is it easy to repair it?
