Hi everyone.
I have just purchased a RHD '86 635 as a project car. Its Bronzit Beige, manual, sports seats with brown buffalo interior, hmmm...
The body is excellent, straight and rust free. It runs. It has some tragic mods inflicted on it cheap Chinese coilovers, stupid exhaust and the worst gear lever I have seen.
I am contemplating a complete strip down rebuild with possible exterior and interior colour change. Engine could be modded s38 with motec, upgraded electrics, air etc.,
Before I do anything however, I have some questions:
1. Where can I get a hard copy parts manual - is there one?
2. Can I get new factory rubbers and all the anodized molds, particularly front, rear and side window molds.
3. I need a new replacement dash top. Can I get an un-cracked one from the UK?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks John.
Here are a few pics, and, yes, I know the front spolier is incorrect.

Never seen a hard copy.
From were I sit and having a Bronzit-Beige myself--I like the color.
Good lookin' 6. Spoiler may not be correct but looks good to me,
so does the body & paint.
Gear shift lever is an easy fix.
Most parts are obtainable from BMW and aftermarket.
Coil overs are another story.
What's stupid about the exhaust looks like an after market install.
Buffalo interior to die for here in the states.
When you look up the part #'s of what you want, do a search to see what's available.
Good luck and enjoy.

Only thing I would replace are the metric tires.

Welcome, I also like the colour as I have Bronzit Beige too. See my topic for inspiration if you want to rebuild your car as mine is being rebuilt at the moment but mine is not rust free.

Wow, that's a clean car, thanks for sharing! Those mods all look easily reversible, more time than money hopefully. Dashes can be re-covered, but that's a very pricey process from what I've seen. That particular shade (nutria?) might cause some heartache too.
As mentioned, I'd also swap some OEM BMW wheels on to the car to replace the expensive metric TRXs. Mostly anything off an E28, E31, E32 or E34 will fit and provide a decent handling upgrade as a bonus. Hard to go wrong with BBS RS/RZ/RA/BMW Style 5, I'm also a fan of the forged Style 4 off the E32 750iL. Don't toss the old wheels...many collectors have a soft spot for originality, even if it is inferior tech.
Save the manuals!
