I'm a collector with a strong affinity for BMW (I have 9 BMW's right now). I searched for quite some time to find the cleanest 540iT possible. After acquiring the car I set to make it perfect. In the past 500 miles, the following have been performed:

- brakes (pads, rotors, lines)
- tires
- front control arms (Turner thrust arm and control arm monoballs pressed into Lemforder control arms)
- auxiliary fan on radiator
- leak detection pump
- cigarette lighter
- power steering pump and belt
- new foglight
- new console cover
- 20% ceramic tint (all windows)
- new front windscreen

Receipts for the above show costs in excess of $7,500. Documentation of work I performed and the CarFax is available upon request. All work was performed by an indie shop.


Mechanically, the car is exceptional. Cosmetically, the exterior shows wear (chiefly tailgate damage from a parking lot incident) and a bit of under-body front bumper gap, but presents well from 5'. The interior is exceptionally clean with everything presenting almost as new save the drivers seat, which is a bit worn.

This is an exceptional car in fantastic shape. I used it to ferry dogs between two homes. On the hour long trip I found it to be brisk, comfortable, and a nearly modern driving experience (I often preferred it to my new Range Rover Sport SVR). It's that good.

We sold the house I was storing this car at. Over the weekend, I spent an afternoon sandwiching my 6'4" frame between the front seats and to the back of the car to open the rear hatch so that I could pull the battery. That's not an experience I'd like to repeat, so I'm open to any reasonable offer! $10,000 for this car is a great deal. I'm willing to sell it for an absolute steal!
