    645ci torque convertor

    All

My 645ci gearbox has a problem

i changed the pan and oil which fixed the overheating problem error.

however one issue remains which I think is the torque converter as follow:

when I floor it when car is cold then all fine however as soon as it is warm, it knocks and vibrates at times and throws an error which is rest on switch off and on.

it gets worse if I switch traction off and floor it when engine is up to temp . it judders and I feel it when even I drive on slow acceleration off the light, it is not a smooth gear engagment, it is like a switch and knock.

    would it be my torque?

What happens if I continue to drive it ?

Does the oil from pan make its way to torque convertor as I thought torque convertor is sealed and no oil will go through the housing . I think the oil only circulates in the pan and mechtronic unit.

    please help

The next thing I would recommend is to replace the seals - there are two of them as described here:

Yes, if the machatronic seals have failed then you will not have sufficient pressure to properly control all aspects of the gearbox...
